Angelica is a plant. The root, seed, and fruit are used to make medicine.
Angelica is used for heartburn, intestinal gas (flatulence), loss of appetite (anorexia), arthritis, circulation problems, “runny nose” (respiratory catarrh), nervousness, plague, and trouble sleeping (insomnia).

Some women use angelica to start their menstrual periods. Sometimes this is done to cause an abortion.

Angelica is also used to increase urine production, improve sex drive, stimulate the production and secretion of phlegm, and kill germs.

Some people apply angelica directly to the skin for nerve pain (neuralgia), joint pain(rheumatism), and skin disorders.

In combination with other herbs, angelica is also used for treating premature ejaculation.

Echinacea is widely used to fight infections, especially the common cold, the flu, and other upper respiratory infections. Some people take echinacea at the first sign of a cold, hoping they will be able to keep the cold from developing. Other people take echinacea after cold symptoms have started, hoping they can make symptoms less severe.

Echinacea is also used against many other infections including urinary tract infections, vaginal yeast infections, herpes, HIV/AIDS, human papilloma virus (HPV), bloodstream infections (septicemia), tonsillitis, streptococcus infections, syphilis, typhoid, malaria, ear infection, swine flu, warts, and nose and throat infections called diphtheria.

Other uses include anxiety, low white blood cell count, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), rheumatoid arthritis, migraines, acid indigestion, pain, dizziness, rattlesnake bites, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and improving exercise performance.

Sometimes people apply echinacea to their skin to treat boils, gum disease, abscesses, skin wounds, ulcers, burns, eczema, psoriasis, sun-related skin damage, herpes simplex, yeast infections, bee stings, snake and mosquito bites, and hemorrhoids.

Echinacea is also used as an injection to treat vaginal yeast infections and urinary tract infections (UTIs).

Can you believe this is deodorant? Use just use your finger and take a little and rub it under your arms. Fun fact: Our underarms are supposed to sweat! The store brands we’re offered are made to stop the sweat which blocks pours and increases risk in cancer. These organic deodorants allow you to sweat but keeps your under arms dry and smelling super fresh. Guys, don’t let the picture on the front trick you. The unscented deodorant smells so good! It’s made of tea tree oil and aloe vera. They’re small and fit in your pocket or bag. We love these things! They keep us fresh through the day. Must have!

Shea Butter & Lotions

I want to think most people know about the African Shea Butter from Ghana. It’s really popular! It’s pretty thick in texture and takes some digging and rubbing to get it on. That’s why we were siced when we found this “Whipped Shea Butter.” It’s so smooth and rubs on easily. There are many different options to choose from according to your skin type. We purchased a couple of these from a Black store owner in Wheaton Mall, Wheaton MD, USA. With all our recent travels we lost his card. But he got his product from Mine Botanicals and their website is stacked with butters, oils, and more. Must have!

Fran Ngong Soaps

These natural handmade soaps are made by a very sweet and knowledgable African Lady in Baltimore, MD. (But she’s online too!) We went to her shop in Arundel Mills Mall and told her I have dry skin and Alethea has oily skin. She told us what products would be best for us individually. We’ve been using these soaps now since March and love them. They are light and keep us smelling fresh. And they get really soapy unlike some other natural soaps. They’re inexpensive too! We’re going to be sad when we run out. Good thing we can buy online.
